Due to the ongoing global semiconductor shortage, Porsche was forced to manufacture some vehicles with a manually adjustable steering column in place of the electrically adjustable steering column option that should have been included as part of the seat memory package. Owners of the vehicles impacted by this change in vehicle specification were informed of the change and were told that Porsche would retrofit the vehicles with the electrically adjustable steering column when they became available.

Unfortunately, since that time, the semiconductor situation has only deteriorated, making it impossible to provide the electric adjustment mechanism. Consequently, Porsche is no longer able to offer the retrofit. Because Porsche is unable to perform the retrofit, owners of these affected vehicles will be given a refund of $1,000.

Refunds will be issued on a rolling basis between June and the end of 2022 based on the delivery date of the affected vehicles, with the earliest delivery dates receiving payment first. We appreciate your patience as we work to get refunds to all affected owners as quickly as possible.
